MEET THE FLOREXPO TEAM

Adriana was born in Europe, but grew up in Colombia. She graduated from the University of La Sabana in Bogotá - Colombia with a degree in Agro Industrial Engineering. She has been working in the floral industry since 1998. She started in Colombia as a sales representative for the North American market. She went to Ecuador for a Valentine's Holiday and decided she would move to the U.S. to work in quality control. In 2003 she became an assistant in the Marketing department at FlorExpo. As the business continued to grow, so did Adriana. In 2006 Adriana became the Allocations Director.

Adriana is married and has one daughter that is 8 years old. She enjoys spending time with her family and relaxing in her down time. Adriana is a huge asset to the company. Her charm and ability to engage in any type of situation have made her a great leader in the company.

Martha was born in Ejutla (Jalisco), Mexico and lived in Los Angeles for 22 years and then moved to San Diego in 1994. She has an extensive background in accounting and customer service. She has been in the floral industry for 9 years. Martha has been the Logistics Assistant for FlorExpo since 2004. Some of Martha's daily responsibilities include the scheduling of trucks from Miami, coordinating transportation with customers, billing of third party freight, and scheduling appointments. Her eager attitude and smile make her a pleasure for everyone to be around.

In her spare time, Martha loves to walk along the beach with her 2 dogs. Family is very important to her. She enjoys spending time with them and attending social gatherings. Martha is a delight to be around; her hard work and dedication are very much appreciated.

Anthony was born in Pittsburgh, PA and grew up in Tucson, AZ. He has been living in San Diego since 1996. He graduated from the University of Arizona in 1996 with a B.S. in Business Administration and an emphasis in Marketing. While pursuing his degree in Tucson, he worked for Inglis Florist for five years, thus planting the seed for his eventual interest in applying his sales and marketing skills to the Floral industry. Anthony brought his diverse experience to the Florexpo sales team in 2007 and has been a integral part ever since.

Anthony enjoys spending time with his family and friends. Additionally he takes pleasure in listening to and playing music, collecting vinyl records , working out and reading.

Gloria was born and raised in Oceanside, California. She attended Palomar College and studied Criminal Justice. She worked for 11 years as a case manager for a re-entry program, helping men and woman recently released from jail to start their lives over. Going to jail was the highlight of her week. She met some good people who had just made a wrong choice and needed someone to guide them.

Gloria began her career at Florexpo in 2006, and has enjoyed every single day at the company. She loves coming to work, and thoroughly enjoys daily interaction with her co-workers, customers, and managers. Gloria believes that Florexpo has grown so much because of the passion and hard work of the entire Florexpo team. Gloria is married to her best friend. She has 3 wonderful children, 1 great stepdaughter, and 10 beautiful grandchildren. Gloria's first love is the LORD, her family, and helping others. As the voice of Florexpo, you can count on Gloria for a warm, friendly reception every time you call.

Beto was born in Michoacán Mexico, he moved to the San Diego North County area in 1971 at a very young age. He attended Palomar College where he studied Business. He began his career with FlorExpo in 1999 as a Receiver in the warehouse; in 2002, he was promoted to the Assistant Logistics Coordinator for FlorExpo. In 2004, he was promoted again to the Logistics Manager. He is responsible for moving all FlorExpo's Colombian grown flowers to the three FlorExpo divisions on the west coast. This responsibility includes coordinating over 1,300 cross-country trucks a year, and assisting in the coordination and logistics of 104 yearly direct flights from Colombia into LAX. In addition, Beto oversees the FlorExpo shipping and receiving crews at the Carlsbad facility.

Beto is a proud parent of four children, three adults, and one teenager. He enjoys spending quality time with his family, during his free time he enjoys mountain biking and an occasional jog at the beach. Beto's hard work and dedication have made him very successful and a great asset to the team.

Adam was born and raised in San Diego. He attended San Diego State University, Graduating in 2000 with a B.S. in Business Administration, with an emphasis in Accounting. Before starting his career with FlorExpo, Adam worked as a tax consultant. He started at Kendal Floral in 2001 in Kendal's Accounting department. He was responsible for cost accounting and analysis. From 2002-2003 Adam was the Kendal Production Manager where he was responsible for managing 60 employees ranging from bouquet makers, packers and order pullers. Adam became a FlorExpo Sales Representative in 2004.

Adam and his wife have a 6 year old son and a 2 year old daughter. He enjoys spending time with his family, camping, mountain biking, and off roading. Adam's dynamic background and perseverance have made him a great asset to the team.

Penny Mannheimer graduated from Southern Oregon State University with a degree in Business Administration. Prior to working for Florexpo she worked as a Sales Coordinator and Field Merchandiser for a mushroom producer. In July 2004 Penny joined Florexpo as Sales Coordinator in our Portland facility supporting the sales department. In October 2005 she was promoted to Sales Representative, where her excellent customer service skills make her a great asset to the team.

Penny is married and enjoys traveling with her husband.

Evelyn was born and raised in Santa Monica, CA and has lived in San Diego for 5 years. She moved to Ecuador for school, and began working at a farm as a Sales Representative. She lived in Quito, Ecuador for 9 years. She really enjoys working with people and loves the challenge of selling. She moved back to California 5 years ago and started working in the floral industry again. She has been the farm coordinator for FlorExpo since early 2007. Some of her daily responsibilities include receiving and coordinating orders, billing PO's for Albertsons and Safeway, creating farm recipes, as well as keeping constant communication between FlorExpo and the farms in Colombia.

Evelyn is married and has two daughters. In her free time she likes to spend time with her family and engage in outdoor activities. Evelyn has been a great addition to the FlorExpo team. She has very quickly learned the company's systems and is a great asset to FlorExpo.

Aurelia was born and raised in Zihuatanejo, Mexico. She has been living in San Diego for 22 years. She began her career at Kendal/FlorExpo as a Receptionist in 1999. In 2006 she was promoted to FlorExpo Sales Assistant. Some of her daily responsibilities include pre-booking orders, inputting AWB's, Tracking orders, translating, and communicating between the sales reps and the farms. She is also in charge of all standing order changes made through FlorExpo.

Aurelia has 3 sons and enjoys as much time as possible with them. Aurelia always comes to work with a smile on her face and is such a pleasure to be around, her hard work and determination have made her very valuable to the FlorExpo team.

David began his career in the flower industry as a grower in North County San Diego in the early 1980's. He started working in sales and purchasing for Kendal Floral in the mid 1990's. He was the flower buyer for Kendal Floral for 11 years. During this time FlorExpo was growing at a rapid pace and was able to support and develop a team of individuals out of our Carlsbad facility. David took this opportunity to move from flower buying to flower sales and joined the FlorExpo sales team in 2003.

David is married and has a son in fifth grade. He enjoys spending time with his family, as well as boating and water sports. David's experience and knowledge of the industry have made him a great asset to the FlorExpo team.

Jeff was born and raised in Marin County just north of San Francisco. He graduated from San Diego State in 1990. After college he moved back to the Bay Area and spent 9 years working in the Fresh juice industry for Odwalla Juice. He helped grow Odwalla from a small local company to a national corporation. Jeff started working for FlorExpo as an Account Executive in April 2002. He was promoted to Sales Manger in 2007 and again in 2010 to Director of Sales.

Jeff is married and has a 12 year old son. He enjoys spending time with his family, his passion is surfing and being outdoors. His dynamic personality and ability to lead have made him a very valuable asset to the FloreExpo team.

Todd has over 20 years of floral experience. Beginning in the early 90's he worked for several Miami floral companies before joining Florexpo as Sales Manager in 1997. In 2007, he left Florexpo to explore other opportunities, but in late 2009 he returned to the fold, now living in Boise ID, and working as the Northwest Sales Rep. He is back to his country roots, enjoying all that Idaho, and the local mountains have to offer.

Todd is very happy to be back in the Florexpo family.
